Truss and Obey
Truss & Obey is a group of lay builders from Overland Park, Kansas that was founded in 1987, and as of June 2011 had worked on 32 projects. Truss & Obey is in need of a building project for the summer, and it's first come first served. They start their projects on the first week of June each summer and begin on a Saturday so the attending church members can see the first day's progress when they come to church on Sunday.
Their preference is wood framing and try to frame all the walls, set the trusses, put on the exterior sheathing, roof decking, electrical wiring, installation of windows, doors, and podium. They can do roofing if time permits.
They ask that the church provide all meals except Sunday morning, and couples without campers will need to be housed. Some members of the team with motor homes or trailers will require electric and water. Each member pays their own way and provides their own tools and transportation.
VCR Tapes of the Jesus Film
The Tulsa Metro Baptist Network has several unused and cellophane wrapped VCR copies of the Jesus Film which have been donated for use in evangelism, particularly locally.
There are thousands of foreign born nationals in the Tulsa area, many of whom do not know or understand who Jesus is. This is a way to introduce them to Him.
These are for your use or giving away; they are not loans and do not need to be returned to the office. Please call to assure that the language you need is still available. They can be picked up at our office.
